Grammatically, it sounds fine. I don't really know banking or Japanese, but I suppose if I had to say it, it would be something like:

"Have you run into some problem that's delaying the payment?"

But, again, there might be a neater term for "a delay of payment" that I'm not aware of...

Maybe "forestalling the payment", but this only gets 8 hits on Google...

I think FeuDRenais's suggestion is OK, although "a problem" would probably work as well. I also think that the 'the' in 'the payment' is optional, and it might work better without it.

Might be a British-American thing again. I prefer it with "the", but either is okay, IMO. Same with some/a... It doesn't really matter. Actually, I went against my own preference on that one (I would generally say 'a', but 'some' might be more natural).
