Are you sure this is a translation? >_>
It sounds pretty equivalent to me.
Do you use чёрт as an insult? :o
It's the closest thing I could think of. "Evil devils" or "evil demons" just wouldn't sound very natural.
Consider this the adapted translation, and the other the literal one.
Well, Russian «чёрт» doesn't sound very natural too, IMHO. I believe it's because Japanese has 鬼(おに).
You'd know better than I would. You can unlink them if you like.
I'd like to do so, but perhaps we should wait for another Russian speaker's opinion.
Google search shows that "чёрт" can be used as an insult indeed, but not so often.
«Ты злой чёрт» is very low-frequency, and sometimes it seems to be used with a positive meaning.
«Ну ты и чёрт» is used more often[2], and it seems that at least some results are insults.

AH! I've forgotten to put the first [1]. ^^
I think that, in the future, I would like your comments to feature a cover page, and maybe a proper-style bibliography.
OK, I'm working on it.
