"Mi tuj venas" - "I'm coming (right away?)"

Eldad Eldad January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 at 11:18:33 UTC flag Report link Lînko payîdar

Yes, "Mi tuj venas" has indeed the nuance of "coming *right away*", but so does "I'm coming", in certain instances.

So, both "Mi venas" and "Mi tuj venas" could well render the English sentence.

Ok, I'll remove the tag then,
but I'm asking this because I think we should make these distinctions.
I don't know how much it matters here, but I try to make a distinction between what you "can use" in a situation, and what "it means".

Eldad Eldad January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 at 18:13:43 UTC flag Report link Lînko payîdar

Well, "I'm coming" is literally "Mi venas". But as it can also mean "I'm coming right away" or "I'm coming in a minute", I believe that "Mi tuj venas" can also be used here, as an alternative translation.
