Are you sure it’s ‘proverb’, not ‘translated-proverb’?
'proverb' here doesn't mean "this is the original language". It means "this is actually used as a proverbial phrase in this language".
'translated-proverb' would mean "this is a (typically literal) translation of a proverb from another language, it is not used as a proverb in this language.".
I don't agree with blay_paul.
If you want to put a tug, and don't want to put 'translated-proverb' tag, you should put 'English proverb' or 'foreign proverb'.
