I just noticed that the hovering text that you get on the tags now shows the user _number_ not the user name. So I now know that I am number 86. I'm not sure how much use that is in general, though. ;-)

Essaye en vidant la cache de ton browser :)
Tatoeba a été mise à jour il y a quelques jours et d'autres utilisateurs aussi on eu des problèmes de soumission des phrases!

Hello guys, I'm new to this but since it has already been helping me, I made some contributions (finished translating the sentences from launchpad).
Anyway, I was adding some translations when I came across the following. There was a discrepancy between two languages in the list (English and Japanese). I was going to add the Portuguese translation but I didn't know which one to base my translation on.
How can I know what is the sentence that originated the translations since they show the date as unknown?
Whenever you translate a sentence, you are only linking your new sentence with the one you translated it from. For example, if the Japanese and English sentences do not match, you can make a Portuguese translation for each. If someone hasn't already, you can leave a comment on the Japanese and/or English sentence to say that they should be unlinked.
If the Japanese and English do match, you can translate just one of them into Portuguese and leave a comment for the moderators saying that your sentence can also be linked to the other sentence (assuming it is how you would also translate that sentence).
The key thing to remember is that Tatoeba is structured as a graph, not a table. See http://blog.tatoeba.org/2010/02...eba.html#rule2
De hieraŭ mi strange ne povas traduki frazojn. Mi ja skribas la tradukon, sed, preminte la sendbutonon, nenio okazas. Mi provis fari tion per diversaj komputiloj kaj uzante diversajn foliumilojn, sed ĉiam sensukcese. Ĉu eble mi estis forpelita de Tatoeba pro miaj malbonaj tradukoj?
Es extraño, pero desde ayer no puedo traducir oraciones. Sí escribo la traducción pero cuando aprieto el botón de "enviar traducción", no ocurre nada. Probé de hacerlo desde distintas computadoras y usando diferentes navegadores, pero siempre sin éxito. ¿Habré sido excluido de Tatoeba a causa de mis malas traducciones?
It's strange, but since yesterday I cannot translate sentences. I do write the translation but when I press the “submit” button, nothing happens. I tried to do it from different computers and using different browsers, but always unsuccessfully. Have I been banned due to my poor translations?
(en) I was having the same problem after the update. Trang suggested that I clear the browser cache. That fixed the problem. I use Google Chrome.

I am writing yet again about the lexicon used by MeCab to generate the Japanese readings of kanji.
At present it seems that Tatoeba is using the IPADIC lexicon. qanwa has just pointed out it is giving the wrong reading for the 行って in "行って見ておいで".(228331)
I *strongly* recommend that Tatoeba change over to the UNIDIC lexicon, which give more reliable results, e.g. in this passage it correctly gives いって.
A problem with getting the UNIDIC lexicon is that you have to create an account and agree to all sorts of things. If someone were to contact me, I can probably arrange something.
