I think also promoters of Tatoeba should take contact with defenders of minority languages such as Amerindians who sometimes are desperate to save their near defunct languages and could see Tatoeba as an opportunity with their young.
There are contacts to be taken with universities across America but also Australia, India, etc...

And you're lucky with French because it's a relatively recent language, comparatively...

I don't think the current months are any representative. Many contributors here are students and they will be busy soon enough and also the weather in Europe this august is particularly shitty...

Not exponential, because it comes in burst. There was a sudden burst in July (and I was part of it) because emails were sent in different communities. But bursts tend to tame down. History shows that some very active users at some point stopped suddenly. We will see if current pace will be sustained, come september...

Scott states that old French can be keyed as normal French on Tatoeba. I think this is confusing without proper indications to the public. What is the current stance with Old English, Old German or...Old Chinese or Japanese ?
My view is that it is a different language altogether and should thus be defined as another language.

En effet, si A connait la langue 1 mais pas la 2, que B connait la 2 mais pas la 1, comment C, s'il connait les langues 1 et 2 peut-il indiquer qu'une phrase de A correspond à une autre de B ?
