Bug report
currently it isn't possible to set the language to "unknown" if you use the auto-detection of languages.
I just added sentence #4363351, which is in a language not yet supported on Tatoeba, so it should have been automatically set to "unknown" instead of italian. I tried to choose the "other language" option by clicking the flag, but it doesn't save the change, and it remains in Italian.
Same for #4363351 and #4363301
thanks, trang
well, maybe there isn't really a need.
If it's possible to change a request, i would like to change this one with this other one: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/696
Well, maybe "OK", "@needs native check" and "@change" might be the most useful recommended tags
yes, what i had in mind was another issue, but even a quicker access to those tags is fine too
Second request: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/308
In order to tackle this issue, I guess that a possible part of the solution would be to add these new languages: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tato...s/lang_request
this language hasn't been tracked yet on github:
https://tatoeba.org/ita/tags/sh..._with_tag/6336
iso code: vec
also this one: https://tatoeba.org/ita/tags/sh...ag/6325/page:1
iso code: kjh
First request: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/306
This would greatly speed up the tagging process to add extra information on sentences
+1, I agree that the sentence count should consider the constant deduplication
I found a related issue with this query: https://tatoeba.org/ita/sentenc...nly-with-audio
If I skip to the last page, I get a blank page, instead of a page with the last sentences of the query
actually it seems that it uses the language that is used the most by users. I just added #4322143 and #4322166 to test it and it firstly recognized those sentences as Italian
> Many of the projects that use the data from tatoeba.org, only use the sentences and don't use the tags and comments. (http://bit.ly/tatoebalinks)
> I'd hate to be learning Macedonian, using one of your sentences, thinking that I was learning something that was natural, if it wasn't.
Personally I think this is pretty unrelated to Tatoeba itself. I don't think it's Tatoeba users' fault if other websites decide to use just the sentences and not tags and comments when using Tatoeba sentences for their own projects. If I add a sentence to Tatoeba and I tag or comment it in a certain way, I don't think it's my fault if another project use my sentence and omits some information I gave on the original sentence
maybe also this feature could be implemented to speed up the translation process: https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/334
> Maybe clicking on the cross when the search field is empty could reset the languages to "any".
That could be fine
the new date format (https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/152) doesn't cover the activity timeline: https://dev.tatoeba.org/ita/con...meline/2015/06
i tested https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/issues/337 and it works fine. Maybe it could also reset the language to "any" (if a specific language has been chosen), but, apart from this it works fine
+1, I guess letters can be confusing for most users. Maybe we can specify somewhere (maybe in the wiki) which timezone is represented by the time and the date
Yes, I meant the previously submitted queries
maybe the format you're suggesting would be better for every language
maybe it could also have the possibility of deleting the search history, along with clearing the search field, and this could be optional, that is to say, the user may choose if he wants only to clear the search field or also deleting all the search history at once
yes, it might be a good idea
