Don't you find the sentence itself a bit strange? If she lives with someone (i.e. her own children) that means she doesn't live alone, isn't it?
I see. I wouldn't say so about the Russian translation. I'll still ask the second opinion about the Russian sentence. I wonder about the French, Ukrainian, German and Italian sentences.
Any sentence that says that Mary lives with only her two children and nobody else would be a good translation, I think.
