Translate bill's sentences

Well, it's better than nothing. What framework are you using?

You can do that on the settings page:

Thanks, guys.

Muito obrigado, Ricardo.

Don't worry, Alex. The background won't be white.

That would be awesome!

Duolingo is a great tool. But some people think they will master their target language just by using the app on a daily basis. ;)

Que bom que vocês gostaram.
Thanks a lot, guys!

O que aconteceu aqui [#4697315]? I think Horus is drunk. :p

Ótimo! Estamos precisando de novos colaboradores avançados. ;)

Welcome to Tatoeba, Mohammad! Thanks in advance for your help.

1) Wishlist
These ones sound better:
• Wishlist
• Word request
We should add words that haven't been added yet into a page with a list. Let's say I searched the word "serendipity" and there's no sentences for this word, the website can automatically add it into the list. Here's an example:
• Serendipity (1234)
• Gorgeous (960)
• Strong (500)
The numbers on the right is the number of requests.
• Users would be able to filter those words by language.
• Once there's at least 50 sentences with the word, a script would automatically remove it from the list.
• Users would be able to receive a email notification once the word they request has been added.

2) Frequency lists
I didn't get this one.

3) Hall of fame or Leaderboard?
I think we shouldn't reward quantity, instead we should reward quality. We can solve this with a gamification system.

6) Automatically jump to the next translation field after submitting a translation.
Your idea sounds good but I think we can improve it. Actually, I already know how to solve this. :D

Parabéns, Ricardo! o/

I think we should use whatever sounds more natural. For instance, Maria sounds more natural in Portuguese than Mary.

Basically, you don't want an essay on the home page. But when you display information in a friendly way the users will read it. Remember that our main feature (the search bar) is above the folder.

In my opinion the home page is where you sell your website, you tell users how it works, how they can help, how people are helping, and ask them if they want to help. Once they understand how Tatoeba works, it becomes easier for them to contribute.
I know we already ask them if they want to help, but let's say that we aren't getting the most out of the home page.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When I created my account it took me months to understand how Tatoeba works, and I think that's huge problem because I'm a power user. There's a member who uses Tatoeba for years, and just a few days ago he learned that the gray sentences are indirect translations. If users like us are struggling to use the site, now imagine an average one trying to make sense of it.

I agree with you CK. But we need to talk to Trang first, this basically happened because we didn't do a research, we only gathered feedback from you guys—remember that we only had one week to work on this.
In fact, I think Tatoeba needs a redesign, but this may be out of question.

Great job, sharptoothed! As I said before your graphs are very useful. :)

Only Corpus Maintainers and Advanced Contributors can help?

I think lists should only be searchable on the advanced search page. You guys are adding too many filters into the "search criteria" section, and it can become a nightmare to fill out all those fields.

You're totally right. I was just curious about this. :)

@odexed Why didn't add them into a list? I usually do this, all my favorites sentences are lists.
I only bookmark a sentence if I think the translator did I great job.
This makes me wonder. What's the difference between lists and favorites?
