Tiun ideon aplikas Wikipedia, montrante personojn sen indiko per ruĝa koloro.

Thanks to Pongprapunt I'm glad to tell you that we now have audio recording in Thai, which makes it the 10th languages to have audio recording.

Awesome!
it doesn't sound to hard
I wish we had more sentences, so more people in the world had the chance to learn Thai

Hi, got a question about Berber! :)
I noticed that Amastan uses the symbol ɣ for one of the phonemes of Berber, probably /ʁ/ or /ɣ/. Now I saw that some other new people who work on the language here, use γ instead. These two symbols resemble each other and represent the same phoneme, but it makes searching for a Berber word a bit more difficult.
I don't want to propose anything or make any recommendations. So this is just a notice here. What's your opinion (esp. @Armastan)?

你好!
How to restrict search results to simplified Chinese only?
I added in settings the ISO 639-3 code for Chinese cmn, but still seeing Cantonese, traditional Chinese, Shanghainese and more.
Thanks all !

Actually it's not possible to make a filter on the script (as ultimately we provide both, though one is currently automatically generated)
The languages you precise in your settings are only for the sentences and translations that will be displayed. If you want to make a search only in one language, you can precise it with the "from" field.

Ok, understood.
Thank you Sysko for your reply.

I was trying to post a comment, when out of nowhere I was directed to "Terms of use"
http://tatoeba.org/deu/terms_of_use
is that possible? or could I have simply pressed something wrong unaware?
It was kind of creepy

Yes this is a normal phenomenon observed when you try to post something violating terms of use. :)) The smart tatoeba system detects it and redirects you to ToU page, so that you read it again. Still I think it fails at times, one occassion possibly being when the other respondent to your message sent his/her last second post on that very wall.

In fact, Tatoeba is a super-intellectual AI that uses the most sophisticated data mining techniques to build your personalised profile. ;D

Thanks, now I feel more safe in this intelligent environment!

Yeah, you prolly pressed something.

You don't have a chance because you smoke like a chimney (so we say in Germany) ☺

Yeaaahh!!!! She has fallen in love with me (And maybe she love you too). I hope the account will soon be blocked.

It isn't true. She has fallen in love with me :-(
Perdonad mi mal ingles :)
XD

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/La...ula_de_Disney)
http://www.arielespana.es/Default.aspx

I have never seen a woman called "Ariel". As Marcelo said, Ariel is a biblical (and Jewish) name meaning "Lion of God". Its cognate in the Muslim world (in the Indopakistani area) is "Asadullah" with "Asad" [lion] and "Allah" [God]. Its a name which has manly characteristics. It's unsual to find it borne by a woman, although "Ariel" sounds also beautiful.

I know some Chinese girls who take it as their "English name"

You see :-) It sounds beautiful ^^ Some of my French-speaking Chinese colleagues also have some Western-like weird names like "Kellyne" (instead of the more widespread from "Kelly") and suchlike names. I prefer to call them with their Chinese names. A name like "Caifeng" or "Longbi" sounds more musical to me and when you're familiar with Chinese, it might have many beautiful and/or "mystical" meanings ^^

Me too I prefer to call them with their Chinese name, especially also because they have the weird tendency to those the same names as my grand parents "Janine" "Gertrude" "Bernadette" that does not sounds like the name of 20-somethings not-French years old girls

This means the eternal flame love burned only half a day.
:(

"flame of love" of course

XD

you are looking in the wrong place
you see, we write sentences here

Arie, I too have received your message ... by the way, how many men do you want to have in your life? ^^
Arie, nekk daɣen ḍḍfeɣ-d izen-nnem ... ini-iyi-d, acḥal n yergazen ay tebɣiḍ ad ten-tesɛuḍ deg tmeddurt-nnem? ^^

Welcome to Tatoeba! :))
(It's the tradition here, isn't it?)

Here is not a dating site.

She seems to be an UNREAL beauty; maybe ARIEL isn't A REAL girl.

Hi
Thanks for your good site. I love it.
Habil

Michael Jackson would say I love you too. :D
Welcome mdhabili!

Hope u have a good time here!
Just to let U know, what makes this site so great is
the members that are willing to do anything to help
others...
Enjoy!!!

If you have noticed a drop in the number of users don't worry it's normal I've just deleted ~6000 accounts that was created by a automatize process (they've been there for a long time but I didn't find time before to delete them)

by the way veryoldbooks was a fake boracasli account, I've blocke it (I needed sometimes to be sure enough it was)

I'm just curious. What is his story? :) By the way I feel I should remind you the Turkish interface still remains as translated by him (to a very big part). Do you consider an update from launchpad?

Well to make it short that's a very young teenager that get angry very easily and that for now more a year spent is time alternatively by creating new account (when he get a new IP address) or by trying to spam the server etc.
For the translation in Launchpad, yes that's in my todo list, actually before that was not me who was in charge of taking care of this but Trang so I admit to not know the process so it may take some times (as I've also received a lot of emails about user proposing me audio recording etc.)

... I've also received a lot of emails about user proposing me audio recording etc...
I may be too curious but, what languages are we talking about?

Thai, Spanish and Catalan , also Arabic

:((

Je le savais !

Topic: Email notifications
Personally I feel it annoying to receive email notifications, though I feel happy to receive "谢谢" "Thanks" "Dankon" :D
I am afraid my comments will annoy others and I have tried to avoid unnecessary comments. As a result, I used not to express my thanks to those who point out my errors.
What's your opinion about Email notifications?

I set up a separate folder in my e-mail account, where mail notifications are stored automatically. I check the entire folder once in a while.

I also did it.

I'm not sure I understand why receiving emails is annoying although I heard this complaint several times...I receive dozens every day...it's just a matter of organising your inbox through rules and keywords...If your e-mail service doesn't enable this, you should consider dumping it and moving to modern and efficient services such as Gmail.
If bandwidth or load is the problem, you can limit the download of emails to headers...Tatoeba's notifications are not very big...

personnaly i did use the "谢谢" / thanks as a way to notify the user I've applied the correction so that if (s)he is an advanced contributor he can check one last time and apply a "OK" tag if necessary. after if you're quite active you can desactivate the email notification and only rely on the feature provided by the interface
there's on your profile page a way to see the comment only on your sentences or you can check the sentences on which you posted comments, (or you can apply a tag @change and filter on chinese sentence to see if they've been corrected)
After if the user is a simple user, i most of the time only put a "thank you" comment one time a day.
