I think there is a mistake in the Russian interface. When I write somebody a message, the first field should be "Кому" (To) and not "язык перевода". In English, it's the same "To" as above when you set the target language (Search From - To). In Russian this field should have a different name.

Bug.

I don't know how this system works exactly ( https://github.com/Tatoeba/tatoeba2/pull/1327 ) but there are some more problems I see about it. For example, when I tried to translate #1544158 as "Постарайся успокоиться." (this sentence already existed in Tatoeba), "Постарайтесь успокоиться." appeared as the translation. It's similar but doesn't match since there are two different forms for "you" in Russian and Spanish. This means that the first result was taken instead of the second https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentenc...rom=und&to=und

Bug.
When I'm trying to translate #3307344 into Russian, my translation disappears but #5483277 appears as a link. I belive it's the only sentence with this problem so far.

I agree. Tatoeba becomes worse every day. This new interface, desired vocabulary set that doesn't work as expected and disabled search and random sentences block now.

odexed odexed 12 de septembre 2016 12 de septembre 2016 a 04:07:45 UTC link Permaligamine

I agree. I have a bad feeling about the new interface. Tatoeba also looks awful on my Android cellphone.

I can only advise you to filter the words you don't want to see at the beginning. For example, in order to exclude the sentences like 'He is playing outdoors' or 'She is living abroad' try this:

-^He -^She -^*ing -^is =is *ing -*ing$

odexed odexed 5 de septembre 2016 5 de septembre 2016 a 14:53:40 UTC link Permaligamine

Try this

-^is =is *ing

or this

-^*ing -^is =is *ing -*ing$

I will try to explain my thoughts but I warn you that it is all my personal view. It's all about the main page. There are several things I don't like about the new design.

1) It's less compact since you've increased the height of each item so I need to scroll down more to see the comments.
2) You've changed the position of flags and moved them to the right side. Most people are accustomed to read from left to right. I think the former UI was more informative since I could see both the flag and the small circle icon (which is lot more intuitive than just a color bar). You've also removed the background color of items which is another step towards less intuitive UI.
3) The colors became more aggressive. I feel it the same way as if saw an advertisment. The red bar catches my eye. I liked unintrusive colors like soft-green for new sentences in the former UI.
4) Last but not least, I have a feeling that new scheme is worse structured. Now all text related to the sentence is packed inside the row. I find it more difficult to quickly select and copy a sentence this way.

I, personally, think we should separate the new mobile-friendly design and the current design. Even if mobile phone users became the majority, there are still many people who prefer to contribute from laptops and desktops. I don't really like the new design of the log system.

I don't think so. However you can make a list of the sentences you want to export or add them to your favorites and do the following http://en.wiki.tatoeba.org/articles/show/make-anki

Hello, Mohammed. اهلا وسهلا
We have different varieties of Arabic, if you contribute in Arabic (with a green flag) it's supposed to be الفصحى‬‎.
For Arabic (Egypt) and Arabic (Gulf) we have different flags.
I recommend you to take a look at this guide before you start contributing

https://docs.google.com/documen...hkey=CI2riskO#

Have a nice day.

There is no need to do it. Duplicated sentences will be deleted automatically. Horus (Sentences deduplication bot) will take care of it.

That's not a big problem. You are able to change the language flag of any of your sentences. You can do so by opening a sentence and clicking on the flag and choosing another language (in this case: English).

It seems that this feature is still experimental or even raw.

Besides there is no way to change or delete requested items with spelling mistakes.
