un petit bug, rien de plus, pas de perte, boracasli apprend la programmation (ou à trouver un script tout fait) et s'amusait a changer la langue de sa phrase en boucle, j'ai bloqué son IP (je trouverai une solution plus défnitive bientot)

apres plusieurs verification, il s'est avéré que c'était un avatar de boracasli.

Oui il y a surement eu des "faux positifs" qui ont été supprimés, cependant je ne regrette pas de l'avoir fait car

1 - Le nombre de phrase est assez conséquent à supprimer, mais toujours très faible en comparaison du nombre total de phrase sur tatoeba
2 - Faire un filtrage de ses phrases correctes demande énormément plus de temps que de tout supprimer, surtout quand c'est dans des langues que je ne parle pas, et/ou que très peu d'utilisateur.
3 - Ses comptes ne répondent pas aux commentaires, donc ses phrases seront de toute manières des boulets si plus tard on retrouvait une faute dedans.
4 - Je ne veux pas que boracasli soit encourager à continuer dans ce sens, si je commence à laisser certaine de ses phrases, il va être tenter de continuer.
5 - Vu que par le passé, il a mutilé ses phrases une fois bloqué pour exprimer sa colère, quand je bloque un de ses avatars, je bloque meme la possibilité d'éditer ses phrases. (et vu que je j'ai pas un outil simple pour lui faire abandonner ses phrases, seul un modérateur pourra les éditer)

C'est pour toutes ces contraintes que je préfère la solution plus rapide de tout supprimer, surtout que du temps libre, ce n'est pas ce que j'ai à revendre en ce moment.

füge doch einfach die (wenigstens auf deutsch möglichst korrekten und unverworrenen) sätze zum corpus hinzu. dann übersetze sie und schreibe einen kommentar mit dem inhalt "@needs native check" zu jedem satz. danach wartest du auf kommentare von anderen.

Oh, Tatoeba is so helpful to me. Actually, I've never added a sentence but just profited from everyone's work!

I learn Mandarin Chinese. My primary software is Anki, which is a spaced repitition software. With the help of a plugin, I keep track of which characters I already know (or to be more precise, which characters have already been inserted into my deck). A couple of weeks ago I wrote a script which will search the tatoeba corpus (which I downloaded) for sentences which a) do not, as long as I don't explicitly specify, include unknown characters and b) have a translation to English or German (my mother tongue). Then the script will look for the audio tag, download the audio file if there is one and check the cedict dictionary (also downloadable) for any words that can be made out of compounds of the characters of the sentence. Finally, it produces a list of sentences, their translation and compound words which can be easily imported into Anki.

Just an hour ago or so I had the idea to make a slightly different version: It would be awesome to have a script which looks for sentences with audio, searches for translations with audio, and concatenates the two audio files. This would be great to have on the mp3 player.

This is only a short summary. I planned anyway to upload those scripts to my blog and write a more or less detailed explanation about those. I'll write here again once I've finished that :-) !

I'm using it to practice German and learning Russian.

I've used/still using it for:
* helping gather data for a rare language I like (Shanghainese)
* by analyzing the sentence manually, be able to do a basic shanghainese-french word dictionnary
* being able to see the errors in my pinyin generator
* same for the Shanghainese pronunciation generator (though here I rely on the audio)

* replace my paper notebook where i used to input interesting sentences I note when I chat with my Chinese friends (so that it's easier to find them back, rather than searching on the thousand of piece of paper I've written stuff on while on the bus, train, restaurant etc.)
* pretend I speak German, I did learn it a little, so more or less enough to have casual chatting on msn in German, by mixing already existing sentences in Tatoeba
* pratice listening kill by listening to the audio
* learn a lot of interesting trivia when people request us to add new languages, or by reading the comments/wall messages

In the future I plan to use taoteba for:
* giving me a reason to learn how to make an android app
* making a smarter pinyin generator that will "learn" from the correction users will make when it will be possible to edit the romanization
* it looks nice on my resumé
* trying to make a homebrew open source translation memory

After I know some people have reused them in their own dictionnary project.

When I learn a new kanji but don't really understand the meaning, I search on tatoeba to have vocabulary containing this kanji :)

I've sorted 32,000 of the sentences in Chinese to create a list of sentences for lerners of the language. I try to read about 100 a day.

I've been managing my time in Tatoeba so I'm able to use it for both helping others and being helped. Two thirds of the time (or maybe three quarters, hehe) I'm around translating sentences or adding new ones in the languages I feel confident. But I've made a point of reading and analyzing at least 10 sentences in both French and German (which include unknown vocabulary, of course) every day. :) I intend to do so with more and more languages as soon as I feel my French and German have improved enough. I really think Tatoeba is a good tool for learners and have even suggested it for all my students (I'm an English teacher) for whenever they feel confused about using a word in context, or when they can't really grasp the meaning of it only by the use of a regular dictionary.

Unfortunately, I know nearly nothing of computer or software programming, so I can't really use Tatoeba for nothing more ambitious than that. But I'll be glad if I can contribute to the work of someone who can. haha.
