Please see sacredceltic's comments in the other translations. That guy's name is Giovanni Caboto (or John Cabot in English), see also Wikipedia. You should later change the "Tom" here into "John" or "Giovanni".

Global correction requests (for all the translations and translations of translations in a tree) is a missing feature.
If I change something in an original sentence, I do check history logs, but here, I looked at the English sentence only, thinking it was the stem, but your translation is a 2d level one from German, so I missed it...

Please do link your sentences to as many others as possible (I know you know a few, Eldad...) so we reduce this problem.
