A Swedish "mil" is 10 km.

I'm unlinking the sentences with mismatching distances.

Now all of these sentences are lying though - the actual length is something like 8 km, or 5 miles. :)

Okay, what a mess! Then it was probably the Swedish sentence that was badly translated in the first place. :P

This is still the same mess, seven years on.

From the translations that I can understand, all translations are correct. The sentences don't have to be true. If the incorrect distance bothers anyone, then feel free to tag the sentences with ”untrue” or something. If the sentences are grammatically correct, then they have a place in the corpus.

Here is the original sentence: #680425

I can understand herrsilen's point, but I don't think it would diminish the value of the corpus if the factually incorrect sentences were modified to have the correct distances. We are not talking about grammar or syntax, it's just values.
