Hi. It seems, according some dictionaries, that ''Finn deg til rette' (your first version of this sentence) has different meaning from "Ta deg til rette". Former seems to be about be feeling at home (welcomed), and the letter seems to talks about taking matters in your own hand (maybe revenge, or something like that).
