but at the moment the search engine does not index this "automatically generated version", so for still some times searching 说 will not give you the sentences containing 說 .

In the absolute, it's up to you, as here it's only a script difference, as long as it's mandarin chinese when you add a sentence in mandarin Chinese:)

(and for those who're not yet confident with the tatoeba interface, there's a page to view the sentences of one user in a specific languages, if you wondered how you can keep trace of what I had, and anyway these sentences are nearly the only ones I will enter in English)

A little request toward English Native speakers (especially those with a computer sciences background)

As maybe some of you know, I'm currently teaching computer sciences in a foreign country, I would like so to start to input sentences about typical technical sentences I use in my classes in French/English, but as I'm not an English native, I'm reluctant to do that because my sentences in English are likely to be unnatura, and as my students don't speak French, English is the only language we have in common, (though my goal is in the end to have then translated in Chinese)

So if some English natives is ready to review my sentences (I'm not going to add a thousand of, maybe something like 10 a day), I will be very glad.

I would be interested. Do you have an example of a similar UI you made before ?

sysko sysko October 29, 2011 October 29, 2011 at 9:08:39 PM UTC link Permalink

et maintenant ?

sysko sysko October 29, 2011 October 29, 2011 at 6:18:46 PM UTC link Permalink

je vais regarder cela...

I've totally IP blocked him (even trough proxies, well not all proxies but using an information that 90% of public proxy provide)

un petit bug, rien de plus, pas de perte, boracasli apprend la programmation (ou à trouver un script tout fait) et s'amusait a changer la langue de sa phrase en boucle, j'ai bloqué son IP (je trouverai une solution plus défnitive bientot)

sysko sysko October 28, 2011 October 28, 2011 at 4:09:30 PM UTC link Permalink

il vient d'etre bloqué normalement.

sysko sysko October 28, 2011 October 28, 2011 at 3:47:33 PM UTC link Permalink

that's for sure a good idea, but I don't really when i will have time to implement one, maybe as i will try to have a wiki with the new version of tatoeba, in a first time we can imagine a "quick and dirty" page which will be used for that purpose, waiting for a more "organized" system.

老师好~

您呢,学什么语言 ?:)

sysko sysko October 20, 2011 October 20, 2011 at 6:09:03 PM UTC link Permalink

sysko sysko October 20, 2011 October 20, 2011 at 5:44:05 PM UTC link Permalink

Note: I'm really sorry I didn't /don't answer to your emails private messages/e-mails these last/following days, but I'm currently in a rush with my professional life.

I hope that will be back to normal soon.

sysko sysko October 17, 2011 October 17, 2011 at 12:48:28 PM UTC link Permalink

actually if you feel like compiling it yourself, I can mail you an archive with the source of software i've coded, it would be a pity to reinvent the wheel especially as in the end i will make it opensource too, it's simply I have a really hard time these days to find free time (and as tatoeba brings me no money, I unfortunately can manage it only in my freetime)

sysko sysko October 16, 2011 October 16, 2011 at 6:39:33 PM UTC link Permalink

Actually nowdays we write it "Cicéron", which sound more or less like you said, but I'm pretty sure in Latin class it is pronounced "correctly". But yep I get what you wanted to explain :)

For other "without native" languages, they certainly have an IPA, for them, as long as it pronounced "correctly" even with a local accent that's okay, but I think for this it would be more "judged" by other speakers
