What would be the most obvious meaning here when you read that sentence?

"There are many places to go" is a posible meaning.

It could be used when a friend invites you and the others to go someplace with him, or stay and have coffee together. The sentence means that you still have something to do requiring that you go somewhere else.
It could also just be used with the people included in the "we."
