Por cierto, tengo otra duda. ¿no sería mejor traducirlo como se ha conservado? el ruso dice сохранился, no сохранялся. Se trata de un resultado que todavía es vigente.

La paridad verbal del ruso es algo difícil de trasladar a la naturaleza de verbo simple y verbo compuesto del español, por eso me gusta analizar la oración con un hablante de la misma. Tienes razón, el verbo perfectivo no da un proceso y por tanto cambio mi traducción a conservó.
