a question about Bahasa indonesia?

what is the difference between sedikit, and sedikit-sedikit?

Can we use sedikit-sedikit in this sentence, so it's "Saya bisa berbicara bahasa Inggris sedikit-sedikit."?

If yes, does it have another meaning?

"sedikit sedikit" is informal phrase.

example:
Q : Bisa berbicara bahasa inggris?
A: Bisa, Sedikit sedikit.

and "sedikit" usually for describe quantity.

example:
"Saya butuh sedikit garam untuk membuat sayur ini".

I think i'm still confused, because you said sedikit-sedikit in informal, but sometime I see it in some formal websites/articles.

I'm always confused with Bahasa Indonesia, hhhhh

@aboubasha
> what is the difference between sedikit, and sedikit-sedikit?

The simplest answer is that 'sedikit' is 'few and 'sedikit-sedikit' is 'little by little/bit by bit/etc.

@deel
Q: Bisa berbicara bahasa inggris?
A: Bisa, Sedikit sedikit.

If you answer with 'sedikit-sedikit', the listener expect that you speak influently or with pause (while thinking about how to say this and that). While 'sedikit', the listener expect that you just know few English, whether you speak it fluently or not.
