That's odd - I'm not quite sure that happened here ... I'll just check something.

Ah, the 'original' was 256120 "I haven't heard of him since then." but it was deleted as a duplicate and both Japanese sentences changed to point here.

"私はそれ以来彼の消息は聞いていない。" is possible as a translation of this (or vice versa) so I've left this sentence connected to both sentences.
IMO "その時以来彼から何の便りもない。" is closer to "I haven't heard from him since then." than "私はそれ以来彼の消息は聞いていない。" is.
