pronouncing a 3 syllables Japanese word in 1, 2, 3 or 4 syllables in another language is one thing, however debatable.

But caricaturing a beautiful Japanese poetry genre while distorting Japanese words is just bad taste...

However, it's worth pointing out, especially to nonnative speakers, that it doesn't have the punctuation of a good sentence. The commas here were added to split the sentence into three pieces, each with a specific number of syllables. In a normal sentence, you would not find a comma between a referent ("a sentence") and the restrictive clause that follows it ("that has..."). Nor would you generally find a comma between "count" and "of".
