Nesta frase eu fiquei em dúvida se na versão em Português deveríamos utilizar o ponto de interrogação ou qual tipo de "Porque".

Seria melhor desta forma abaixo ou ficaria mais claro como uma afirmativa informando qual a minha dúvida?

Está muito bem, a meu ver, assim como está. É claro que há outras maneiras equivalentes a essa. Por exemplo:

Eu só queria saber por que Tom está tão cansado.
