I say it with a French j, and also with an 'oo' sound in du, but otherwise the same sounds. The way you're saying it in the audio doesn't sound wrong to me, but a much more pedantic person might correct someone who said it like that. Again this is speaking about English, because no one insists on a French r, for example, or on an /y/ sound for du, but this is the 'correct' American English way that many would insist on.

But I should emphasize that I've never thought too hard about the way other people said it or about what might sound correct to them when it comes to this term. I might have to ask around.

I'd say whatever was on the menu, probably. I'd feel pretentious if the menu said "soup of the day" and I said "soup du jour", and I'd feel dumb if the menu said "soup du jour" and I said "soup of the day".

That probably sums it up for me, too.
