shouldn't it be "mes parents ne m'auraient pas laisser sortir avec des garçons" (in addition to the fact I would naturally say "des" here )

I don't think this is really a conditional. I see it as equivalent to "my parents did not let me go out with boys." e.g. When I was a teenager, my parents would never allow me to go out with boys so I was always sad.
the condition can be implicit if you see the sentence has an answer to some teenage girl telling you what they've done last weekend, and you could answer simply this, with a implied "when i was your age", something like this.
this sentence is correct and fits the english. another one can be added as sysko suggested but should be /ne me laisseraient pas/ conditionnel present
