
This is interesting. Isn't 了 (marking the perfective aspect) somehow redundant here, since 完 means completion?
Compare with:
我已经看完这本书了。
I guess that the 了 we have here conveys a change of a certain state. Is there any difference in meaning between these two sentences?

Oh yes, I know! I am pretty sure it is correct, I am just curious about the "logic" of this sentence and the particle 了, which is something that probably can be fully grasped only by a native speaker...

Martha sometimes made a little strange translations into Chinese (maybe she is 华侨?), but unfortunately she is inactive now and not answering the questions about her translations :-(
