Re: Let's make Tatoeba better!
I agree.
For the rest: of course, I respect your point of view, but everyone has their purposes, motivations, and methods of working. As far as I'm concerned, I have a relatively small number of sentences and I'm trying to translate them from English into Arabic or from Arabic into English, and I'd also like to give them some more visibility on this website. I do that for various reasons (professional, educational, practical, etc.) As long as there's nothing that explicitly prohibits doing that to *all Tatoeba members*, then I think it's fine doing that. I invite people (especially friendly people like you, Odexed, Carlosalberto and many others) to translate my sentences and I think there's nothing wrong with that. I've already seen other people doing that. But to cut a long story short, I don't care about what other people do to promote whatever they want to promote and I only ask other people (who seem to be bugged by me, my presence, my work, perhaps the presence of the Arabic language itself, my personal presence itself, etc.) to leave me alone as long as what I do isn't wrong and doesn't harm the Tatoeba project. I hope that's clear and peace to all of you (and for that category of people: please leave me alone).
NOTE: message edited.
@OsoHombre,
Your tone seems agressive, or I'm wrong? I didn't intend to offend you or any other member.
Maybe, it wasn't a good idea to use the same English word which your had chosen to promote (I wasn't the only one member who did that, though). Anyway, to avoid any misunderstanding, I'll provide words of my own choice next time.
@Selena777,
I'm not being aggressive towards you and I can make the difference between friend and foe, after all. I only strive to remind readers in every message about some practices that don't sit well with the spirit of cooperation that should prevail on Tatoeba. You absolutely don't have anything to do with those bad practices and I know that you don't support them yourself.
