The appearance of "Home" (at least in my browser) has changed two days ago. Now "Latest contributions" are shown pale. The text is still recognizable, but the eyes become tired when looking at it. Who has made the same experience?

Strangely enough, other users seem to be able to add new content! I think administrators should definitely say something about such a weird functioning.
yep sorry for this, the problem have happened at the beginning of my working day so I see the messages only know. And Murphy law oblige, it's during my busiest days that all these problems happen ...

en effet...bizarre...très bizarre...
en fait pour le coup, ce ne serai du coup pas si bizarre, pour la détection automatique de langue, il n'y avait pas (encore maintenant?) d'outil efficace libre pour faire cela sur autant de langue et de tres court echantillons, du coup cela passe par une API de google. Donc du coup si l'url à changer où s'ils ont arrêté le service, ceci expliquerait cela.

et c'est quand je reviens que le problème disparaît .... car bon ça aurait été trop simple si j'avais eu le temps de voir la cause exacte, histoire de proposer un correctif pérenne...
ça me rappelle quand je donne cours, les problèmes des élèves disparaissent comme par magie quand je m'approche de leur ordinateur, quand bien même ils avaient réellement un problème.

L'effet placebo semble fonctionner aussi avec les systèmes, les machines et les logiciels. le seul fait que le médecin soit à proximité semble régler une grande partie des problèmes...

Indeed. That's the simple reason why some could continue to post. The automatic language recognition made the difference.

No, it's not working at all. sysko, you cannot post sentences if the language is set on "auto detect".
The moment I changed it to Hebrew - I could add translations...
Ok I've put a correction, actually as I've said with Sacredceltic, the problem is that the language detection rely on a API provided by Google, as actually very few tools permit to do this.
And seems today Google has removed this functionnaly, or at least limited the access. So for the moment autodetect will set the sentence as unknown, waiting to find something to replace google API.

So, I guess this means that for the time being each one of us can by default use their own native language as the default flag, and change it to another flag in case needed.

Unue vi devas instali Greasemonkey (addon de Firefox) aux Blank Canvas Script Handler (Addon de Chrome). Post restarto de la retumilo vi retumu al la userscritps-adreso kaj klaku instali tie. Tiam iru al via profilopagxo kaj i devus trovi tie la agordojn por la skripto: klaku la flagojn de la lingvojn kiujn vi scias (aux kun kiuj vi volas labori). Vi nun devus vidi tri sxangxojn: la flagoj estas en 3D (malsxaltu en la agorodoj se vi ne sxatas), la lingvoj kiujn vi ne klakis estas travideblaj kaj cxe la tradukokampo ekestas la flagoj kiujn vi elektis.
Mi esperas ke tio helpis al vi. Ne hezitu ankoraux plue demandi.
Se vi sxatas la skripton ankaux provu miajn aliajn skriptojn: nur sercxu "Tatoeba" cxe userscripts.org kaj vi trovos cxiujn.

I've temporaly removed "Auto dectection" as anyway it's not working right now, in the mean time I've started thinking about coding my own one, as it seems there's no good open source out of there to do this. Basically I think to use the current tatoeba database to create some kind of 3-gram stats table by languages, and after do a magic algorithm that will calculate a score when you submit a sentence, and will choose the language with the highest score.
(for reuse purpose it will be something independant from tatoeba, I mean it will be a standalone service, though here in tatoeba we will still use it transparently)
So I will maybe also take the advantage of coding this to , if i've time / if really needed, to permit users who want to enter the language they contribute him, in order for the system to not wrongly detect a sentence has spanish for soemone who contribute only in French , Shanghainese and Chinese.
How come? If the language is detected automatically, I cannot post the sentence... Or does it work now?
I'll try to change it back to "detect automatically" and see if I can add translations.

I already added a sentence in Esperanto, but it was tagged as Hebrew ;-) Of course, I had to decide that Hebrew should be the language of my contribution - at least this way I can post my sentences. Then I can correct the flag.

When watching pages like this http://tatoeba.org/deu/sentence...ne/none/page:5 you can click on the active number and then type 364 or any other number (or use the up and down keys to do the same) to reach pages that dont have a link there without having to fiddle with the url.
I've updated the script! It now works also on first pages.
(i've already found the first bug, which i will repair as soon as possible, but not today: it doesnt work on pages without the "page:" part yet)
