It should be -> "is a Chinese old technique[...]" or "is an old Chinese technique[...]", which sounds more natural. ^^

"a woman's" Maybe there's also a better translation for Shougongsha.

Apparently "shougong sha" is sometimes translated as "gecko cinnabar", but I can't think of a good way to put that into a single sentence, especially since it's more a substance used by a technique than it is a technique in its own right.
