Slight glitch on 'comment' link from front page.

When you click the magnifier glass icon on a comment to 'view comment' it doesn't work on sentences that have been deleted. Instead an unrelated sentence that hasn't been deleted is shown.

Hi there, Just to let people know I'm working on a Tatoeba API based on a old dump of the database. In case anyone is interested here's some details:

I've put my small rails app on github:

and deployed it using heroku:

I'm planning to use 3scale to manage the API, but that will come later when I have time :-)

At the moment the heroku instance only has a smattering of sentences and no links, which is due to not having successfully found a way to push the database to heroku:

It seems like the way I need to go is to create a postgres version and then upload that, but I've encountered some technical issues and am working with Heroku support staff to see if we can get it sorted.

I'll let everyone know when I have any sizable amount of data deployed.

My hope is to use this API to power an Android app I've been working on, as the standalone db is at 45Mb, which is a little impractical for mobile. It works, but the startup download time is prohibitive.

Removing duplicate sentences.

As I understand it there are problems with the duplicate removal script at present. As an interim measure I suggest the following:

1. A script that links all sentences that are identical and in the same language.
2. Making a list of all sentences that have identical sentences in the database.

That would make it easier for people to manually remove duplicates.

the letter "е" is transliterated as:

must transliterate as "Sensiz yashayman."

Sensiz yashayman. = "Ценциз йацҳайман."
must transliterate as "Сенсиз яшайман."

Hodiaŭ mi trovis, ke la butonoj "sendi tradukon" kaj "nuligi" ne funkcias sur mia Google Chrome (7.0.517.44). Tio okazas nur ĉe mi?

User identification in tags.

I just noticed that the hovering text that you get on the tags now shows the user _number_ not the user name. So I now know that I am number 86. I'm not sure how much use that is in general, though. ;-)

Qu'est-ce qui se passe? Quand je veux entrer une traduction ça ne marche plus, ou au moins ça dure des heures.
