
Sorry for asking this in English but,
Why are there so many results for "monta" (partitive singular) in comparison with "monia" (partitive plural)?
I'd asumme you'd use "monia" for things like
"monia ystäviä" or "monia kirjoja"
But it seems like it's the opposite.

Partitive singular is more definite than partitive plural. You can also highlight the large number by using partitive plural.
In this sentence both mean the same, but partitive singular is more common.
