Müsste es nicht heißen: "Sie kauften mir die Tasche für 5 Dollar ab"? Aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, weil ich französisch nicht kann und der Satz wurde aus dem französischen übersetzt. Aber wenn ich mir den englischen Satz anschaue, dann würde ich das "ab" am Ende des deutschen Satzes erwarten.

Eben, denn ob der Sprecher die Tasche verkauft oder als Geschenk bekommen hat, macht schon einen Unterschied.
