Do you mean "katakana" for English words?
I usually use it for a person's name such as Tom and Mary or other words adopted from Western countries such as チケット、カルテ、アルバイト. However, I can see some proper names in English within Japanese sentence.

I know some people also use ツイッター for Twitter and ユーチューブ for YouTube. But I feel Tatoeba is a kind of brand name, proper name for a dictionary of example sentences. To be honest, I won't write it in other style.

Of course if there is a rule or a policy for that, I will follow it.

I see. Forget about my last comment. I think many Japanese people prefer to use 半角文字 for alphabets. Actually I don't like seeing 全角文字 for them. It's kinda awkward to me.
