
Replace "do the washing up" with "do the dishes".
It's a little colloquial, but that's what I would say most of the time.
"wash the dishes" or "clean the dishes" would work too.

I guess "do the washing up" is right too, it's a British expression,

FROM:
It's your turn to do the washing up, I did it yesterday.
TO:
It's your turn to do the washing up. I did it yesterday.
I personally would write....
It's your turn to do the dishes. I did them yesterday.
