
Sorry if I'm wrong, my Turkish is far from good. However, "zorundaydı" is past tense. How is it a translation for "would have to" (present/future)?

"Zorunda kalacaktı" doesn't seem to be a correct translation neither.
Let's try adding some context. For example:
"Tom and Mary are crossing the Bosphorus Bridge on bikes. The sky seems to be clear, but if it started raining now, _they would have to move fast_."
How would you translate this? It's not about past at all.

kalacaktı -> kalırdı (???)
Sorry for my persistence. ;-) I'm just trying to make sure I'm getting the grammar right.
