Salve, amice!
I think we'd better use PER + ACC, just like "per pedes" (an not "per pedibus"). If you want to use the ablative, you can (and should) omit the preposition. It would be our "ablative of means":

=> Mayuoko birota ad scholam it.
=> Mayuoko ad scholam it per birotam.

What do you think?
