The sentence seems correct to me, but wonder if someone will actually say this, I've made some research and in a similar context (someone describing to an other what he's seeing, a guy eating bread). I found this

oh wait no, I thought I was on the 男生 version ^^, as said on a previous sentence, I've never seen a Chinese using 男孩子 , but 男孩 (男孩子 doesn't sound "harmonious")
