Bonjour from a french learner of russian,
I choosed to translate by "ont été non seulement difficiles..." rather than "n'ont pas été seulement difficiles", because it seems to me that "on été non seulement" sounds more natural in french, in this context.

Finally, I translated by "étaient" instead of "ont été", maybe more accurate , étaient = the questions were, by essence, not only for me but for every student.

Je ne sais pas si le propriétaire de la phrase russe vous comprend ou est concerné. Vous devriez plutôt mettre vos commentaires relatifs à la traduction française sur celle-ci (en cliquant dessus au préalable).
Par ailleurs, tous les apprenants russes ou français ne parlent pas forcément l'anglais...
Le mieux est de commenter dans la langue de la phrase...

Sorry, I can't really help you with French, cause I can speak only Russian, English and Japanese... But if you have some questions about the content of the Russian version of the sentence - go on, I'll answer you as exact as I can.
