I am in despair. Is Turkish really *that* difficult? Why doesn't your sentence just mean “I’d like to return by car”?
Please enlighten me :)

My Turkish is too low-level to suggest that, but maybe the translator read “by” instead of “a” and mixed up the two meanings of “return” (dönmek vs. geri vermek)?

I'm positive meanwhile that the above Turkish sentence has the meaning of “I’d like to return *by* car”.

The translation of the current English sentence is ''Bir araba iade etmek istiyorum.''

All right, thank you. Duran himself wrote several sentences with “iade etmek”, so the above must be a slip of the pen.
