Pri tio eblas longe diskuti. Mi uzis la adjektivon kiel predikativon.
Laŭ http://vortaro.net/#odori sub 1 eĉ eblas diri: "Io odoras ŝimon" laŭ la PIVa ekzemplo "viro odoranta brandon", aŭ "je brando", eble "brande".
Vi elektu laŭ via prefero, mi volonte ŝanĝos la frazon laŭ ĝi :-)

Kara Leo, tio estis simpla demando. Mi ne etikedis @change ĉi tie.
Ankaŭ predikative vi rajtas pensi.
Miaopinie, "odori" estas verbo, kiu povas funkcii, kiel "aspekti". Kun "aspekti", mi uzas ĉu predikativon, ĉu adverbon
