je me rends compte que pour un apprenant, c'est compliqué, car en effet on écrit :

Elle l'a frappé

mais

Elle lui a donné un coup

La solution consiste à se poser la question : Qu'a-t-elle fait ? Et de décomposer la réponse.

Elle a frappé => Qui ? => lui => l'a

Elle a donné un coup => À qui => à lui => lui a

C'est comme la différence entre l'accusatif et le datif en allemand...sauf que cette distinction ne s'opère que pour la 3e personne, en effet :

Elle m'a frappé / Elle m'a donné un coup (moi / à moi)
Elle t'a frappé / Elle t'a donné un coup (toi / à toi)
Elle nous a frappé(e)s / Elle nous a donné un coup (nous / à nous)
Elle vous a frappé(e)s / Elle vous a donné un coup (vous / à vous)
Elle les a frappé(e)s / Elle leur a donné un coup (eux-elles / à eux - à elles)
