That's what I wanted to check. Wouldn't the arrow or the gun require a "at" at the end?

I know this Nero, but druggies and diabetics also shoot themselves with syringes, don't they?
Why should I be able to shoot myself with a syringe and I can't be shot by someone else?
And isn't it rather "being shot at" that means that someone shoots you with a gun or arrow?
