I would use a preposition before "scholam" ("in scholam" or "ad scholam").

To my knowledge it is more classic to use it without preposition.
But pls add your version.

I wonder where you learned that from.
Of course there are words like "domus" and "rus", but "schola" is a regular noun... Never mind, I'll add my variants.

It was somewhat in my brain.
But now I checked it and found in "Eisenhut":(translated by me):
originally every word ... acc ... but in prose it was later limited to .. domum, rus. However poets used acc sometimes.

Since I am no poet, I better change several of my sentences.
