sacredceltic pravas, kvankam pro la proksimeco de ambaŭ mi ne vidas grandan problemo ĉi tie.
Cetere mi pledas por "La invento de la..." ĉar temas pri difinita afero. Tian universalan, principan novaĵon oni povas nur UNU FOJON inventi (krom en aliaj eksterteraj civilizoj, pri ili ni nun ne parolu), oni ne povas inventi la radon / la biciklon / la (mal)varman akvon kaj similaĵojn duan fojon - eĉ se iam iu provas fari tion, sed plej ofte en ironiaj komentoj ;) "Vi ne devas reinventi la radon; ĝi jam ekzistas." Estas facile videbla, kial oni diras "...LA radon". Evidente per "la rado" oni aludas tiun inventaĵon, kiu jam ekzistas, kiu jam estas konata kaj kiu tiel merite postulas difinan artikolon kiel "honoran insignon".
