Wow!!! Ca c'est un très bon pronom interrogatif... d'ailleurs, pour te dire la vérité, j'adore le "septante, octante et nonante" des Belges, c'est plus facile à utiliser et à écrire comparé aux composés du français de France :-)

Oui, c'est ça : quel est le numéro du jour dans le mois.
En fait, je ne suis pas sûr que ce ne soit utilisé qu'en Belgique. Il est possible que ce soit encore utilisé dans certaines parties de la France.

"octante" n'est pas belge. Il est uniquement suisse.
Les soixante-dix / quatre-vingt / quatre-vingt-dix sont en français un restant du comptage en base 20 qui prévalait sur les marchés de Champagne, au moyen-âge. Le système monétaire était en base vingt, ou plutôt en base mixte dix/vingt. Mais la livre d'argent se divisait en vingt parties et non en dix, même s'il y avait des pièces de deux unités.
Aujourd'hui, ça fait rigoler les étrangers parce qu'ils ont oublié que la base 10 n'a pas toujours été universelle. En Afrique de l'Est, on compte même en base 28 !, et les Anglais comptaient il n'y a pas si longtemps en base 12 (une livre Sterling valait 12 Shillings)...

Oui, c'est pour cela que les Anglo-Saxons adorent parlent de "dozen" et autres "half-dozen" et "two dozen", etc.

J'aime découvrir ce genre de choses en français :-)
