even if you're stating a fact instead of saying that as a future action?
For example: You're a famous person, and every time you want not to be recognized you wear that wig, that mustache and those glasses, and nobody notices who you are.

I think the verb is fine, but the change from the demonstrative "this" for the first two items to "the" for the last one is a little puzzling.
