What does it mean: to rain in the corner of the street? Can you explain, please?

actually "ve a la esquina a ver si está lloviendo" is a idiomatic Chilean expression, it actually means "Go somewhere else" but subtly disguised as an useless request.
and what could be more useless than going to the next street and see if it's raining there?

Maybe a "literal translation" tag will do.

...or even "translated-idiom".

The English equivalent is "Go fly a kite!"

I like that : )

I think the German is "Was hast du hier zu suchen?"

Spontan sind mir die Verse Rückerts eingefallen:

Geh’ hin vors Schloß, o Zwerg,
und siehe, ob die Raben
noch fliegen um den Berg!

Vielleicht kannst du das hinzufügen Phirsichbäumchen:)

Dann schimpft Alexander bestimmt wieder mit mir. ☺☺☺

Vielleicht finde ich noch eine andere idiomatische Wendung.
