Gracias, pero el sentido es el siguiente: "Yo siempre ignoro un buen consejo (los buenos consejos). Es lo único que se puede hacer (con un buen consejo). Nunca es (son) útil para uno (mí).

Interesting remark, although I must say that he didn't go to bed when he was told to, thus he didn't do as he was told to, ergo he did pass on on his fathers advice.

Nevertheless a very interesting appreciation.
