In English, "his place" = "his house". I don't think this is what you mean.

I think you meant to say something like:
"Tom cannot see Mary from his position."

The problem is from "من مكانه", which we would normally translate as "from where he is" or even "from where he is standing" in English or possibly as "from his position" (usually used in law enforcement, military, etc.). We would never say "from his place" in this situation.

In order to edit a sentence, click on the pencil-icon above it. As I said, I would definitely recommend changing this sentence to:
"Tom cannot see Mary from his position."
or even better:
"Tom cannot see Mary from where he is."
