I'm still not sure what you're saying. Perhaps one of the following?

(1) The secret is killing you [because it costs so much effort to keep it a secret].
(2) The secret is helping you kill someone else [with suspense].
(3) The secret is helping you kill someone else [because of the consequences of their lack of knowledge].

If necessary, perhaps you could give a longer paraphrase in Portuguese so that we could figure out what you mean.

Alan, the closest option is the number 3. Because of their lack of knowledge' the secret would be a killer.
