Bemerkung:

Es handelt sich um jenes Phänomen im geschriebenen Englisch, bei dem vor dem letzten Glied einer Aufzählung ein Komma gesetzt wird, selbst wenn dieses mit „and“ („und“) oder „or“ („oder“) angeschlossen wird: in dem Fall steht das Komma vor dem nebenordnenden Bindewort. Der englische Satz ist ein Beispiel dafür — anders als dieser hier, in dem das Komma notwendig verlorengehen mußte.
